Internships

A Parting Shot

It’s that time of year again. With September approaching, I must carry on CPJ tradition and post ‘the intern’s final web feature.’ As my time here at CPJ draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the past year: the opportunities, the highlights, and the people. Read more »

The end of this chapter

Experiencing CPJ as an intern: Mid-point Reflections

As I approach the half-way point in my internship with CPJ I would like to reflect on the last five months. The activities in which I have been involved have been very helpful in terms of my own personal and professional development, and many have been helpful in promoting CPJ’s work in a variety of areas. Reflections on Life as a CPJ Intern

Having begun my internship almost ten weeks ago, I thought it would be a good time to take a little break from my daily activities of policy research on public justice issues to reflect on my experience as a CPJ intern so far. Read more »

Life as a CPJ policy intern

Looking back at my year at CPJ, it is amazing to reflect on the many things I have done and learned and the friendships I have made during this time. My internship experience has helped me to better understand complex social and economic issues and to frame these issues through a public justice lens. As CPJ’s first policy intern, I worked with a great new group of young and enthusiastic staff who are passionate about integrating faith and public life. I will walk away from this wonderful unique policy experience with the tools I need to pursue further education and continue working for justice in the area of policy and advocacy. Read more »
