As I approach the half-way point in my internship with CPJ I would like to reflect on the last five months. The activities in which I have been involved have been very helpful in terms of my own personal and professional development, and many have been helpful in promoting CPJ’s work in a variety of areas. The beginning of a new year brings many questions. Still, we are energized by the potential of what lies ahead, spurred on by the focus of a new strategic plan, and strengthened by the support of longstanding and new members alike.
God has called us, redeemed us, and transformed us to be agents of change. “For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life” (Ephesians 2:10). We will therefore offer a faithful response to God’s call for love, justice and stewardship. Read more »
With September upon us, it is hard for me to believe that my internship with CPJ is coming to a close. I have had an immensely positive experience this past year, and it is now difficult for me to imagine doing anything else but working at CPJ on issues of public justice. Read more »
Engaging youth is a key component of CPJ’s work. As part of this, CPJ offers three different internship opportunities. All of CPJ’s internship opportunities strive to provide occasions for young people to directly experience the life of a public policy organization. This means engaging in the work of CPJ, but also as much as possible the community of CPJ supporters. Read more »

Having begun my internship almost ten weeks ago, I thought it would be a good time to take a little break from my daily activities of policy research on public justice issues to reflect on my experience as a CPJ intern so far. Read more »
Looking back at my year at CPJ, it is amazing to reflect on the many things I have done and learned and the friendships I have made during this time. My internship experience has helped me to better understand complex social and economic issues and to frame these issues through a public justice lens. As CPJ’s first policy intern, I worked with a great new group of young and enthusiastic staff who are passionate about integrating faith and public life. I will walk away from this wonderful unique policy experience with the tools I need to pursue further education and continue working for justice in the area of policy and advocacy. Read more »
