Callie’s love and compassion for people, faith and her passion for social justice has led her to CPJ. Callie is from Spruce Grove, Alberta, a small city west of Edmonton. Callie currently attends Trinity Western University in Langley, BC where she is working towards a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in International Development and Cultural Change. This fall, Callie is attending Trinity Western University’s Laurentian Leadership Centre program here in Ottawa, where she has the great opportunity of interning at CPJ.

Callie is excited to learn more about social justice issues in Canada and how citizens and organizations can influence public policy. Callie’s main interest is in the global issue of human trafficking and she hopes to see the abolition of all forms of slavery. She is also interested in aboriginal, women’s, and poverty issues. Her passion for justice is rooted in her Christian education, her mission trip to Guatemala and her volunteer work in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.

Callie has a close and expanding family, with a new sister to be born in October. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Callie loves to travel and dreams of the day when she finally travels to ultimate destination, Greece. Callie loves coffee shops, ethnic food, campfires, expanding her knowledge, good conversation and growing in her relationship with her God.
