Dignity and Human Rights: Eliminating Poverty in Canada
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009
Now is the time to end poverty in Canada! In response to the question: what is the federal government's role in addressing poverty? CPJ made a presentation to the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (HUMA Committee) on June 9, 2009. This presentation includes concrete recommendations for action - a vision, a plan, an Act, and investment.
