MPs who have been contacted
CPJ’s Envisioning Canada Without Poverty campaign has ended. We thank CPJ members and supporters for contacting their MPs and sharing the important message that poverty must be addressed. Thanks to you, the campaign was a success. For new opportunities to get involved in the fight against poverty, check out CPJ’s new campaign: Dignity for All.
As a part of our Envisioning Canada Without Poverty Campaign, CPJ members across Canada have been contacting their Members of Parliament to ask for a federal poverty reduction strategy in the upcoming federal budget, scheduled for January 27th, 2009.
Below is a list of the Federal Members of Parliament who have been contacted by CPJ members.
If your Member of Parliament is not on this list, we encourage you to take a few moments to write a letter, make a phone call or arrange a meeting with your MP to discuss the troubling issue of poverty in Canada. If your MP has already been contacted, please consider contacting them yourself to strengthen the message.
Many thanks to all our members who have been involved in the campaign!
